It reduces the cost of Trinkets by 75%, which makes the early game economy management much easier and lets you build your heroes up much faster. The Nightmare's End is useful if you need to visit the Tangle early. Heroes like the Highwayman, the Grave Robber, and the Jester especially benefit from this since they can repeatedly use their attacks without fear of moving themselves into a rank where they can't use their strongest skills. This is amazing for teams that are sensitive to the positions their heroes are in. However, the most important part of this trophy is how it immobilizes your heroes while the trophy is equipped. The General's Dream increases corpse damage by 200%, which would works best when combined with Larval Carrion Eater pet. On that note, the Dreaming General offers two trophies that are worth considering - The General's Dream and The Nightmare's End. Otherwise, Trinkets like Insulating Insignia, Stone Mount, Unwavering Standard, Calibrating Censor, and the Dreaming General's Footman's Grog all increase survivability for your heroes. Trinkets like Blistering Bugle, Clenching Claws, and the Dreaming General's Reverberating Redoubt adds more utility for front line heroes. Heroes looking for more survivability through Block, or front line heroes looking for more ways to help their team, will benefit the most from a trip into the Tangle. Beyond these skulking cadavers, however, lie the keys to enhancing your team's survivability beyond the reach of even the most fearsome eldritch abominations. The land itself is filled with dense vegetation and the reanimated corpses of a once honorable legion of soldiers. With some other areas, it'll be somewhat more obvious which gifts they're likely to bestow on you, but the Tangle can be a little confusing with its themes. Based on where you decide to go, you'll get different Trinkets, different Lair bosses, and different trophies. Choosing a location to journey into in Darkest Dungeon 2 will require you to determine how you need to build your heroes for the journey ahead of them.
